Watching the sun set is the quintessential outdoor date idea. Choose a location with a great view. My picks are the Hills overlooking St. James or Maracas Beach. If you must choose, you can’t beat the city view and the sunset over the Gulf of Paria.
2. If she loves adventure: Plan an Overnight Camp or Glamp
Nothing says romance like the stars, fire, and the one you love, throw in an air-conditioned, cosy, fully-furnished tent and you have the ideal romantic outdoor weekend getaway.
3. If she loves solving riddles: Plan a Romantic Treasure Hunt or Go Geocaching
This one takes some planning but she’ll definitely love it. Choose a fun location or make it an adventure. My favourite to date was along the Asa Wright to Maracas via the Blanchisseuse route. The road is pretty bumpy but the views and natural cathedrals along the route are amazing. Or simply download the geocache app and start exploring.
4. If she’s a fitness lover: Hike to the Bamboo Cathedral Lookout or Tracking Station
If she loves nature and fitness, this one will be a treat for her! Pack a backpack with some eats and drinks and surprise her at the top.
5. If she’s really into movies: Plan a Private Outdoor Movie for two
A romantic outdoor activity perfect for movie lovers … add some intimacy to this date with a private set up for two. Up the romance with ambient lighting and candles.
