Wellington is originally from Nigeria while Marlena is from right here in sweet Trinidad & Tobago; both of them now reside in the US. Like any true Trini, Marlena had spent the last two years longing to visit home. With the lifting of travel restrictions and her birthday coming up, he saw the perfect opportunity. He surprised her with a trip to Trinidad and at the very end of their trip, the cherry on top …an epic candlelight dinner proposal!!! As you can see from Marlena’s reaction, she was SURPRISED! LOL!
