Adele came to us with a Date Night Challenge and they surely had a lot of fun! Read on for her experience.
I saw the PERFECT pictures and dared to wonder if the experiences befitted what I saw….sooo I decided to call the number. The pleasant voice on the other end was a comforting start. I explained to Kerry that my girlfriend and I were in competition with our husbands to see who could pull off the most creative and unorthodox date night. It was a DATE NIGHT CHALLENGE. Wives vs Husbands edition. This peaked her interest-understandably so lol. And so, we set out to decide on a uniquely tailored picnic that would best suit our needs, and blow our husbands’ minds. Challenged by a couple of limitations, Kerry was there, ready to assist in providing alternative options, very responsive to my whats app msgs and phone calls, providing several packages for the various ideas that we came up with. THEN I FOUND IT. THE PERFECT SET-UP. Sitting perfectly in her batch of inspirational photos. We were convinced. This is what we wanted. I ran over the details with Kerry who seemed unfazed by the challenge posed to her…she was just ready to get started the moment we made up our minds.
I was eager to see how she was gonna PERFECTLY put this together, it being the first of it’s kind for her and her team. Being in the business of events and being a perfectionist myself I nagged Kerry almost every day with questions about every detail- after all, i wanted to make sure that we win this challenge. And there again, unbothered by my incessant questioning Kerry answered all my questions and reassured me that everything would be PICNIC PERFECT.
The day of the unveiling arrived and we took our unsuspecting but equally excited husbands to our venue of choice- Maracas Beach. Confused by the drive to the venue they wondered where could we be going..heading in the direction of the NORTH COAST..and dressed sooo fancy. But we ignored their every question. They were like children trying to decide what gift was in the gift wrapping paper. lol.
Nevertheless, when we arrived at the beach they were even more baffled..that is until they saw what awaited us in the sand. Their expressions were priceless. What awaited us was a well-dressed cabana with soft romantic lighting and well-detailed classy accessories, scrumptious dessert which included the likes of cheesecake, apples, grapes, melted chocolate, wafers, marshmallows, non- alcoholic wine, and some delicious chocolatey chocolate brownies. With a dessert buffet like that, who needs dinner right lol. My exact sentiments. But we were starving so we dived into dinner which included food from Rizzonis (MT) and Hakka Thai Restaurant before heading over to the dessert buffet.
The night was calm and cosy and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore aided in providing the PERFECT ambience. After dinner and dessert, we headed over to the mini golf course set-up for a quick tournament in the sand. Again wives vs husbands- Yes we are a bunch of competitive wives.
The night ended with a quick mini photoshoot which brought out the inner child in each of us.
